Our History

Established in 2007, AMR Engineering’s expertise encompasses building restoration including exterior analysis of building envelopes and components, local law facade inspections and repairs, local law parking garage inspections and repairs, and leak investigation and resolution. We have worked on post-war, pre-war, and landmark buildings, specifically brick, limestone and terra cotta building facades throughout the greater New York City vicinity. Our skills also include concrete and steel repairs, roofing, and waterproofing, building assessment and ten-year budget plans. We provide our clients with physical survey analysis, contract documents, building department filing and construction administration and monitoring services.

Principals

James Napoli, P.E. is the firm’s technical director and Principal of AMR Engineering, with over 15 years’ experience in all phases of the building restoration process. Mr. Napoli has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University with a Focus in Structural Engineering. Mr. Napoli is a designated NYC DOB QEWI and Special Inspector as well as a designated NYC DOB QPSI. He is a licensed Professional Engineer currently licensed in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Curran Boyce, MBA, is the firm’s business leader and President of AMR Management Consultants. Mr. Boyce has a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Curran previously served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, and is focused on the firm’s business development and operations.

AMR Engineering is a multidisciplinary firm with expertise in both Engineering and Architecture, which enables us to provide a full range of services for residential and commercial building projects throughout the tri-state area. Our services include physical condition assessments, historic preservation, leak investigation, roof replacement, waterproofing, façade restoration, construction administration, bid analysis, and expediting services. Our services also include parking garage inspections, repairs, and construction administration and expediting services, as well as apartment alteration reviews.
